- Stars if I could
I drove my vehicle .4 of a mile down the road after picking it up from this shop and I noticed something was off. When I got home I found the Brake fluid was leaking all over the driveway and the reservoir tank was Empty.  They had replaced my Brake pads , rotors and one rear brake line, which brake line I have no idea was not on the RO. I called the shop when I got home to let them know what was going on. I was told to drive it back...Drive it back in?  Days later after I got the nerve to "DRIVE IT BACK". (I had to stop 3 times to add brake fluid to get it there).
Kim called and said the other brake line needs replaced. Funny, I had just picked it up and I noticed something was wrong .4 of a mile down the road. My questions are... was the vehicle EVEN test driven? Did they Mate the pads to the rotors? If they did test drive the vehicle they would have noticed something was wrong and placed it back on the lift. I'm no tech and I knew .4 of a mile down the road something was wrong! I went back and  I paid  the second bill.  I asked, does it need anything else,  Kim. Kim said nope all good. I went to start my vehicle and it would not start. They had left my rear door open, the battery was dead.  I had to jump start my own vehicle! I drove it home and parked it. A few days later I decided it should be driven so I went to the post office and on the way back home this nasty burning smell came from my vehicle. The brakes were making the nasty smell! As I  let the vehicle cool off  I called the shop from the side of the road... Kim answered.. how many miles did YOU put on it and it must be the calipers! The Calipers?  How many miles did I put on it? It was just there and I asked you if you need anything else, Kim! I drove it home and just now  to the post office that's how many miles I put on it!
Why didn't they notice it needed calipers the second time they had it on the lift? Did the vehicle pull to one side during the TEST DRIVE? Was there a squealing or metallic rubbing noise during ONE of the TWO visits to the shop? Was the vehicle Dragging during the test drive? During the test drive did they notice Spongy or Soft brake pedals after they replaced the brakes and lines during the test drive? Was there uneven brake pad wear noticed when they removed the old  brake pads? Did they hear a clunking sound when they " TEST DROVE''  the vehicle the first or second time it was at their shop? How did the calipers look?... If it needed calipers one of these signs should have been noticed! Anything? None of this  was reported on the RO to say hey you need calipers! If it needed calipers,  I would have said put them on, it's already there!
Instead... IT'S Come back in for the 3rd time for brake calipers.
After keeping the vehicle for WEEKS...  After the brake fluid leaked out... After a Dead Car Battery... After you left my vehicles door open... After you said Drive the vehicle back to the shop with my brakes leaking and I had to pray I wouldn't hurt someone or myself driving all the way back to your shop ! After I had to call you the second time it was there to find out what was going on Monday, (you had it for days prior to my call)  Kim saying  "Oh we'll look at it Tuesday". Tuesday came and gone.. After No calls for days ! After the vehicle sat there until Thursday in the tree line, I checked on it Mon,Tue, Wed, Thur. I saw it parked all the way into the tree line with another car, black truck parked in front of it... Do you know the old saying nickel and diming them to death? That's how I felt after speaking with Kim about replacing the calipers now, 3 times in labor costs!
