Saved My Butt -Again.
Had an important VA appointment I couldn't miss - right as my Dodge Caravan developed a bad knock. Dan was busy, but got me in. They quickly diagnosed it as a broken flywheel. I knew from sudden rough cranking that he was right. The repair cost was fair, and I was happy it wasn't a connecting rod, etc.
Turns out the previous owner had over-torqued the lugs on the front wheel, and wouldn't budge. They checked, and the 3 others were over-torqued as well. I was planning retirement trips, which could have been wrecked by something as simple as a flat tire.
I know they had to work the extra BS into their already tight schedule. Tried the usual tactics, but eventually had to settle on cutting them with a torch - and fixed the rest as well.
Thanks much for all the extra time/BS!
