Bad service and price gouging
We had our 2017 Hyundai Sante Fe towed to Dennis Hyundai of Dublin for an alternator replacement. We had an appointment at 1:30 on a Tuesday and did not get a response on the issue until end of business on Wednesday despite multiple follow up calls, texts, and emails. When we finally got a response, they quoted $1500 (!) for an alternator replacement. We paid it. It’s my fault for not shopping around. Later I learned that we overpaid by more than double what it would have cost at other repair shops. I should’ve known something was off when they guy checking us out squinted at the screen and said, “I see $1500 for an alternator replacement. Does that sound right?” Also, there was a long wait time when we went to pick up. All around a very poor experience at this shop.
