Josephlyn my name is Chris Cochran, I am the owner of Discount Brake & Auto Repair.  I am sorry you feel like what we charged you was too much.  I looked over your charges and would like to explain exactly what we charged for.  You had to have your car towed in because it overheated and quit running.  Your vehicle is a 1994 Model so it does not have an ODBII diagnostic Control Module.  Pre-OBDII vehicles require a technician more time to diagnose because the tech has to manually check each sensor.  The tech diagnosed your vehicle and he also performed a compression test.  The diagnosis was a bad engine.  We charged $70 for diagnostic time.   We also charged you for the tow bill because you arranged for a tow and wanted it added to the bill.  I do not feel like any of the charges were excessive.  The estimate we quoted was for a used engine with a 1 year parts and labor warranty.  It was complete price that included all parts and labor needed to give you a guaranteed repair.  When we install used engines, we replace both front and rear seals, timing belt, spark plugs and new air filter, oil filter and all fluids necessary.  If you would like to discuss your charges feel free to call me at 936-539-3040 or stop by.  Thank you for responding to our survey, we look forward to your business in the future. - Chris Cochran
