Bought a dud with a warranty
I bought a 2012 Mini Cooper at the beginning of August with 6k down. I also purchased the top warranty for the vehicle. On Oct 31 the check engine came on, and has since continued to come on. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership per my warranty contract. The technicians at Holler are not equipped to fix the car. It’s and Evap code that continuously pops up. Holler referred me to Mini I have since taken the car to mini 4 times and this Saturday will be the 5. I’ve only been able to drive the car 6k miles because mini has had my car for about 4months total. I brought the car to Holler yesterday 3/21/2022. The sales manager, Khamil ,and district manager (white hair guy) were absolutely NO help. They are ONLY willing to pay the car off. I put down 6k. I’m not asking for all of my money back, but I’m asking for fairness! If Holler/Mini would be able to fix the issue I would be happy. But neither are able to fix the issue. The car so far, has about 6k in work on it (from mini), I’ve put brand new tires and a brand new battery in the car as well. The district manager promised me a FAIR deal over the phone. I drove an hour away just for Him to UNDO his promise to me over the phone. I’ve done everything right. And at this point Holler is just being greedy. They don’t care about customer service/ or doing what’s right for the customer. What do you do when you purchase a warranty and the place you bought the car from nor the manufacturer can’t fix the issue?! The district manager also stated that once the 5 day return policy is up they have no ties to the car, Although, in my warranty it states I MUST bring the car back to Holler for service! I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to get a car there. I’m so disappointed in the lack of customer service. The funny thing is they know it’s wrong, because all they can do is apologize. I wonder if I where white, would I have had a better chance at coming to a FAIR resolve?? That’s the million dollar question!
