brakes, tires, and oil change
Brought my car in for rear brakes and an oil change. Ended up needing front brakes and tires too. I wasn't too surprised since the tires were 7 years old (45k miles), and I had the front and rear brakes done together previously. Got the brakes done first. The oil change ended up appearing twice on my bill. It was refunded when I brought the car back to get the tires done the next day. I was quoted $980 for 4 tires installed. The bill ended up $1050 plus a $140 alignment that got added on. The itemized bill included $80 for a 3 year road hazard warranty. A 70k mile warranty was mentioned with the original $980 quote, so I'm not sure what changed there. Also, I noticed that my hood was left open while I was driving down the highway a couple days later.
The oil change being billed twice could have been a simple mistake. The change in price from the quote and extra items added are a little misleading. But the hood being left open is what makes me hesitant to bring my car back.
