Several months ago, I took my vehicle to a different and nationally recognized shop (that I can’t name due to settlement terms) for a routine oil change where a technician there drained the transmission fluid instead of the old oil and then overfilled the oil, causing immediate catastrophic damage as soon as I drove away. I didn’t even make it home before it broke down with a completely shot transmission.
I had it towed to EZ Auto where they did an excellent job diagnosing all the issues. They proceeded to keep my car on the lot for a couple months and worked with me on notes, documentation, etc. while I hashed it out with this other shop’s insurance adjusters in order to have the damage paid for. It was a painful process, but Eric and the crew were incredibly patient, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole process.
Once I reached a settlement agreement with the other shop and the funds were in to cover the repairs, EZ Auto was super quick ordering the parts, replacing the transmission, and completing any other necessary repairs. The parts and service were very reasonably priced and the car came back in excellent condition.
I’m new to the Twin Cities South Metro area and I have to say it’s great knowing I have a trustworthy and reliable mechanic so close to home that I can rely on and recommend to friends and neighbors!
