I would strongly recommend that potential buyers look elsewhere before doing business with Genesis of Bayside.
I went in interested in purchasing a vehicle and was told that the car would be mine. I provided all of my information, had my credit run, and everything appeared to be moving forward. Based on what I was told, I had every reason to believe the deal was happening.
Unfortunately, the delivery date was changed several times, and throughout the process, communication from the dealership was extremely poor. I received very little proactive communication or updates, leaving me constantly wondering what was happening and when - or even if - I would actually receive the vehicle.
The frustrating part wasn't simply that there were delays. Delays can happen. The issue was the lack of transparency, follow-through, and communication. After providing my personal information, having my credit pulled, and being told the vehicle was mine, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service.
I should not have had to repeatedly chase the dealership for basic information about a vehicle I was told I was purchasing.
This experience left me feeling that my time and business were not valued. There are plenty of dealerships that understand the importance of keeping customers informed and following through on their commitments.
My advice to anyone considering Genesis of Bayside: seriously consider taking your business elsewhere!
