Do Not Buy from Genesis of Brunswick!
I purchased a Genesis GV 70 from Genesis of Brunswick in New Jersey on July 1st 2023. I paid by check the full amount owed on that date. Fred Corea (908-309-6925), the salesman insisted that I do a personal survey for in front of him, on site, that day and also told me I'd be getting a survey from Genesis and that I should fill it out rating everything a 10. I did get that survey and provided ratings of nine or 10 in almost all categories except the financing experience where I felt my wife and I were blindsided and through fear tactics encouraged to purchase additional warranty coverage, ultimate titanium tire coverage and appearance/glazing coverage. After I completed the survey I was called by Fred Corea who was very upset that I did not follow his instructions and give all 10’s on the survey. I told him I was sorry that I gave an honest report, he said that was not an acceptable apology because in the Genesis world anything rated less than a 10 on the survey is considered a 0. He was also extremely agitated that I did not lie on the survey and state I was with the finance department 30 minutes or less. Instead I answered honestly that I was there between 30 and 60 minutes. His manager Nick (who refused to give me his last name), also called me that afternoon and also told me he was very upset that I did not complete the survey as instructed. As of two weeks ago, on a phone call with Nick, he I did confirm they got the license plate, which was part of Registration/title fees that I had paid for. Nick promised Fred would call me back within an hour with a date that I could have the appearance/glazing service done and pick up my new plate. Fred never did call me and the temporary plate they gave me expired on July 30th, so my new car has been sitting in my garage unable to be driven for the past 11 days. Because of the spiteful position they have taken, I have called Genesis North America on numerous occasions. They explained Genesis of Brunswick is also not returning their phone calls but they did ascertain that now, five weeks after I purchased this car, Brunswick says I owe an additional $50 due to an error in their calculation of Florida State sales tax, and that they will not release that play until it is paid. Genesis of North America also gave the name of a person in Brunswick’s finance department, Avlin (848-667-8922) who I should call and arrange for payment so I can get my plate and also have them schedule me for the appearance/glazing treatment, I have already paid for. Consistent with Genesis of Brunswick I only get Avlin's voicemail and she also does not return my calls. To date I have no correspondence from Brunswick regarding any outstanding bill and no way of paying it even if I did.

It is beyond understanding how I could purchase a car, I LOVE, pay 100% of the sticker price, and now find myself in a position that I would never considering purchasing a Genesis or Hyundai again!
