True Disappointment
Genesis of York has demonstrated clearly they are not worthy of selling a Luxury Brand from Delivery to needed Warranty Service. Delivery was not "polished" as accustomed to with Mercedes Benz and Lexus. It reminded me of when I was young and bought a used car off a used car lot. The poor Delivery pales in light of the absolute abysmal treatment we received from their Service Dept. We purchased a new 2023 GV80 in October of 2022. From delivery, the brakes would squeak/squeal when backing up and brakes were applied. I drove the GV80 over the holidays and the brake defect remained. Though the GV80 was subsequently delivered to them in January and they acknowledged the noise, they returned the vehicle noting "maybe the noise will go away." I noted it had not in some 2 months. They then offered me a "one time courtesy fix" since it was not a Factory Defect, Simply Unreal !! I elevated the matter through management & Jack Giambalvo (Parent Dealer) to no avail. Giambalvo's Vice President of Operations said he would look into the matter. As with other management, never heard from him despite F/U emails. I elevated the matter to Genesis of North America. After weeks of "put offs"...they just bought me off for $1K just to "walk away" with our "squeaking/squealing brakes." They did so because Genesis of York claimed the squeaking/squealing was not a factory defect. This is evident that Genesis of NA has no leverage with them. In summation, we think our GV80 (less the brakes) is a fine SUV. Have driven Mercedes for decades and more recently Lexus. Either would have taken the vehicle and Fixed the Brakes at the outset. However, Genesis of York and Parent Jack Giambalvo Dealerships have neither the class or professionalism to sell a Luxury Brand.

The first service on the Genesis was done to our satisfaction. Valet was very nice. I am disappointed in the scheduling, having to schedule more than two weeks ahead of time. My other car (Volvo) can usually be serviced in a day or two.

Service was completed but vehicle was returned filthy and almost on E. Loaner was expected to have full or close to full tank upon return, which was done. Never been to dealership or had a valet service that returned any of my vehicles uncleaned or gas almost on empty they at least filled to what it was upon return.

Their service department might as well be non existent. They will avoid providing warranty service at all costs. Genesis of USA can't even reach them at this point.

This dealership is second to none. The General Manager, Jim Porter is operating an excellent experience for Genesis owners even during these trying times. He even called me to follow up to ensure I had a pleasant experience after my visit. I will recommend them to everyone I know and I’ll be back again!

Horrible Service Dept
I took my G80 Genesis in for an inspection since I bought it in MD. It has 1400 miles on it and whoever did the inspection damaged the outside woodwork of the cup holders!!

Excellent service and responsiveness
So far I’m extremely satisfied with the service from Genesis Of York. Michelle Lease is a pleasure to work with. Work was done on time and reasonably priced.
My car was returned with water spots all over it but definitely not a dealbreaker. I will absolutely continue to do business with Genesis Of York.

After purchasing a brand new $50,000 car . The tires
started to wear unevenly and make really bad road noise at 12,000 miles and they would not replace them. They expected me spend $1,200 to replace tires that had 80% tread left.

No valet pickup despite online booking. Charged for expected complimentary service.
I had made my appointment online which was to have included valet pickup at 10AM on September 24th for my 2018 Genesis G90 Ultimate. By 11AM on that day, there was no pickup so i called the dealership and was informed that valet pickup can't be arranged through the Genesis site, only by directly calling the dealership. There was no indication of that limitation anywhere on the Genesis site. I arranged to have my 15,000 mile complimentary service done later that day which required me to go to the dealership (a half hour drive) and then wait 2 hours for the service to be completed. I had already confirmed with the dealership that the complementary service included an oil change which caused me not to utilize the oil change included with the package I purchased with a PA State inspection on September 23. Only after I arrived at the dealership did the service assistant inform me that I was ineligible for complimentary maintenance as I was not the original owner of the vehicle. Had I been advised of this fact when I had previously called the dealership to check on what was included in the complimentary maintenance, I would have not made the appointment and gotten the oil change from the state inspection service center which I had already paid for. So what I had anticipated was going to be a complimentary maintenance ended up costing me $177.92. Having owned 8 Lexuses, 3 Mercedes, 2 BMWs, 2 Cadillacs, 2 Corvettes, an Equus, and an Acura together with many other non luxury model cars, I can safely say that this has been one of the most disappointing service experiences I have had. I really love my Genesis and hope to purchase them in the future but this dealership experience is far below the standard that should be applied for Hyundai-Kia's want to be luxury franchise.
