Month long head ache
I would give it 0 stars if I could, and will be giving a review everywhere I can. A month and a half and my initial issue is still a problem.
My normal mechanic looked over my car but could not fix it because he was going out of town for 2 weeks, told me it was a sensor issue.
We took it into GoodSpeed and they agreed. Took it in and got it "Fixed" (same issue is happening again)
The next day I started to notice issues. Then a day later my car won't start, and it's leaking coolant. They blamed it on the previous mechanic that had worked on it. I felt uneasy at this point but let them work on it.
They said it's fixed a couple of days later and they went over it with a fine tooth comb. When I got home I smelled coolant but thought I was being paranoid. Look at the engine and there is a plastic piece (photo) that is not fully attached. I figured I would go to work the next day and see how the car went. Not even 2 miles down the road my car starts overheating I pull over and my radiator is busted. (Photo) I had no other choice but to call goodspeed and have them tow it. At this point I'm 50% sure it's their fault. After scrounging up the money to pay for the radiator and the tow, I tell them to fix it. Friday comes they said it's fixed now the water pump is spewing. At this point I do snap, and I am 95% sure that they either do not know what they are doing or I'm getting scammed and I let the guy know. He calls me back, they don't charge for the water pump and don't charge me for the tow and say "We will eat that charge" come Monday I finally go pick up my car, because the car has broken down so much I take it to my normal mechanic right afterwards. He opens up the hood and the first thing we notice is that the coolant reservoir is loosely attached by a hose and is moving around in the wind. The plastic piece that I mentioned before is also not attached. He says both things should be attached and were when he first looked at the car. Upon further inspection we noticed that there was a loose bolt inside of the engine. I take my car back to Goodspeed now for the 4th and last time to stand and watch as they put these bolts back in my car.
I let them know that I would like to speak to the owner, because I've been dealing with Burke the manager the whole time and nothing had been done correctly as of yet with the obvious bolts missing from my car. While talking to the lady at the front desk she tells me "I have been telling the boys they have to be sure before they send it out" which tells me this is a normal thing.
Everything looks fine, I take a road trip with my 2 children, to enjoy Colorado in the spring. Our ride home is me filled with anxiety because my dashboard is full of lights. Thank goodness we did not get stranded on a mountain pass with no service. I got my car to AutoZone for them to check the problem. It's the very first problem that I took my car into good speed in the first place. I am still not driving my car because my regular mechanic is now fixing it right.
It's been a week, and I still have not heard from the owner. They say they care about their customers and their customer satisfaction but have caused me nothing but grief anxiety and hell of a lot of stress.
