Bad service dept
I recently purchased a 2013 mazda 2 from heritage hyundai towson. Within the first 2 weeks the check engine light came on. I took the car to them and the code came back as a issue with the evap. Since it was within the first 30 days they said they would take care of it. I was also told that they would have to order parts but the car would be OK to drive till then with the check engine light still on. The parts took about 3 to 4 weeks to come in. Once the parts come in and the car was taken in to be repaired I was notified by them while the car was at thier shop that there was an additional code coming from the check engine light. I was notified that this code has to do with a faulty pcm module and since it's after the first 30 days that they wasn't going to be responsible for the repair and the pcm module would cost me in excess of 1000$ to repair. They was the ones that said to continue driving it with the check engine light on and just exactly how and when am I supposed to know there's a new code with the light staying on since 2 weeks after I purchased it. Both of these issues happened within the first 30 to 60 days of purchasing the car. Instead of doing the right thing and taking care of the issue they're simply trying to pass the buck off onto the customer. Just know this is what to expect when dealing with the heritage auto group.

Horrible customer service, not competent
I have had my car in over five times now for the same A/C issue. First two times they denied anything was wrong, when I had low/no frion each time. Service managers excuse for not catching the leak is it can be "difficult to find", yet anyone with a brain knows a closed system shouldn't be leaking... Other times have "fixed" the issue, but I have to return again within a month or so, still ongoing issue. They will go a week without calling to update on what's going on with your car. You can never get ahold of anyone when you call, leaving a voicemail is pointless because they will call you back when they feel like it. Worst car service department I've ever dealt with, would rather go to Jones and that's saying a lot...

Great service from Noah in sales
I saw that Heritage Hyundai had a large amount of Ionic 6 vehicles in stock so I contacted them and three days later, I drove home the exact model I was looking for and couldn't be happier with the car as well as the staff at Heritage Hyundai. Noah in sales covered enough to get me familiar with the controls and how to adjust them so I was comfortable driving a brand new electric car off the lot. I would recommend Heritage Hyundai for those looking for their products. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service
I went to Heritage Hyundai, because my rear passenger door would not open from the inside or out. The customer service rep, Dan Brodsky waited on me. Dan was very professional. I told him the problem, and he listened intently to what I had to say. He sent the car around to the repair shop. Once the car came back, he told me that he needed to order a part to fix the door. He also told me that the door latch was covered under extended warranty; good to know. He assured me, that he would call when the part come in. A few days past and I called to see if the part had come in. The person that answered the phone, told me that the part was in, but the next available service appt wasn't til July; I took the appt. A couple of days past, and I received a call from Dan on 4/27. I told him what happened, he said the part is here, you can't wait that long. He gave me an appt for 5/1. I had expected to be there for atleast 2 hours, but to my surprise, I was in and out in about an hour. If you happen to go get your car serviced at Heritage Hyundai, ask for Dan, he's the absolute BEST!!!!

Temporary tag expired before we received new tag from Delaware Motor Vehicle Department
Heritage had two months to get paperwork done and sent to Delaware Motor Vehicle for our new tag to be sent to us. We called several times and were told everything is fine. Keep waiting. Now the temporary tag is expired and we still have not received new tag..Not good service.

On August 15, 2022, I was at Heritage Hyundai Towson to have my air filters replaced. The cabin filter was replaced, but after waiting for an extended period of time, they informed me that they did not have an engine filter in stock. Toya Fowlkes was very professional and after a conversation with her and Jim, the service manager, they arranged for a service person to come to my home and install the filter at no expense. This was above and beyond the call of duty. I am most grateful to them and their team. I would highly recommend Heritage Hyundai to anyone. Also, when I bought my 2014 Hyundai Accent eight years ago, the sales representative, Matt, was very knowledgeable and could not have been nicer to work with. I have nothing but the highest of praise for Heritage Hyundai Towson.

One of the best sales representatives I have ever done business with. Mr. Tom Hamme answered all my questions about the vehicle. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He helped me understand how all the features worked on the SUV that I purchased. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Heritage Hyundai Towson
The service here seems to have gone from excellent to poor. There is a completely new staff. You can never get your service advisor on the phone when calling to check the status of your vehicle. I had an appointment, showed up for my scheduled appointment and was told they couldn't look at my car cause it was Friday and too late in the evening (it was 2:30pm) to bring it in even though I was scheduled for an appointment a week prior. It gave off the impression that it was a friday and they were just being lazy and didnt want to work, perhaps wanted to leave early. was told to bring the car back the following week (with no appointment and the same 2:30 pm time would be fine).

Communications with service advisors unless you are there in-person is the worst I have ever experienced.
I have had an ongoing issue with my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. The service advisors are very amenable and earnest while you are there. One service advisor was so nice I gave her a thank you card after my repair was completed. She is no longer with Heritage as of 2022. That was in 2021. 2022 is a different story. I have had 4 different service advisors in as many months because of the through the roof turnover rate. The service advisors I have had (1) do not take calls; (2) do not return calls after leaving repeated voicemails; (3) do not proactively update you on the status of your pending repair. I have mentioned this repeatedly to various service managers to no avail. The last time I mentioned this, the service manager said they had a phone issue. For 4 months?!! Just today (Monday, 13 June) I left 2 voicemail messages for my service advisor in that I dropped off my Tucson, Saturday, 11 June, because of an electrical issue (basically it died on the road and I had it towed there after a 5 month long engine replacement-yes 5 months). As of 4:44 PM Monday...CRICKETS! No response to my voice mails, and no proactive outreach to me from my service advisor to give me some idea on the status of my vehicle. So, I'm using this forum to have my voice heard. Maybe-just maybe, someone will read this and will tell my service advisor to give me a call. He has my number. My guess is the crickets will only get louder.
