I had my SUV there 4 times to get the shifter cable fixed!
I have used your service department for repairs to my vehicles for many years, but the last repair I had my suv there 4 times to get a broken shifter cable linkage fixed. They said they put a new cable in to shift the transmission, but it had lots of slop in the shifting, I took it back and they adjusted it, the plastic covers along the seats got partly broken while there, and dirt on the drivers seat. Now the shifter didn't want to go into park. Took it back again. They said they readjusted the cable, but it still would not go into park all the time. Took it back again, maybe a little better but every once in awhile it still didn't go into park so that you could start it again. Had to rock the car back and forth to get it to drop into park so that you could start it.
Took it back again and they said that the new? Cable must be the problem. Said they were going to order a new OEM cable, never called me back. Called them, voice mail. No call back.
I had to drive to the service Dept. And then finally got an appointment to get a new OEM cable installed. Took the SUV in for the same repair again for the fourth time, new cable installed in 45 minutes and now seems to be fixed. BUT I was told by Henry to not bring it back, not welcome any more there. (I was always nice to them, had them service many of my vehicles over the years. I just was wanting the repair done correctly, and be able to shift the transmission, like I paid them to do.)
Hersey Motors service Department in my opinion seems to be going down hill. So I guess, per Henry, NONE of our family vehicles will be bought at, or repaired by Hersey Motors!
