Terrible customer service and dishonest
I want to say if you are thinking of bringing your vehicle to this business establishment i would be thorough before leaving your car and money with them. I do not usually do reviews on anyone! It took me many weeks since he did the work trying to find the right way in my heart to do this. I am a single mom and pretty naive about cars. I put complete trust in this business. I did however call around to make sure the work he was doing was a fair price. Everything seemed positive. Here is my story..the first day I showed up at in and out I asked for him to tell me what was wrong with my car. I had one other opinion beforehand that my transmission was going bad. I specifically told him that if it was a transmission issue I did not want it fixed. He test drove for a few minutes and said nothing wrong. I again explained what the car was doing. He pushed on gas and then said he felt it??? He then said it was motor mounts causing the issue. So I trusted him and I left the car with him. While he had the car I did ask for him to do a tune up as well and fix the oil leak. Everything seemed great i payed him the money and drove away. He even showed me parts.. i was happy. Couple days later my car started to have exact same issue. I called him right away a bit emotional and left message explaining i was not happy. He said to bring in and he would do diagnostic. Now it might be air throttle he says. So he cleaned it for free and charged couple hundred more dollars for sensor and oil change said it may or may not work so I said ok. He even was kind enough to check on me few days later so I thought I am in good hands. Then my car started doing it again. I called him back right away and he seemed annoyed with me. I was on verge of tears because at this point all my savings money was gone and i was unemployed too at the time from pandemic. He was unkind on phone and told me to wait 6 days to bring my car back. I had spent around $1300.00 at this point and he said he put things off for my car already now i have to wait. Finally he said to bring it back next day and he would get to it when he could. So at this point I was at a loss, single mom, no vehicle, no money to rent anything.. i went to go try talking to him few days later and he accused me of trying to record him on my phone and being defensive about everything. I was being blamed for everything. It was all my fault. I asked him to fix motor mounts now comes the dishonesty on his part.. i was trying to get a receipt from him this same time. He then offers for me to bring my car back on Wed to drive a long distance to see if he can diagnose the problem. Wed comes and I call to see if all is still good and now they can't so they put me off again several days till monday saying he will get me a rental and figure out my car. At this point I was tired. So I called another place got my car fixed. First time in and has been running great since but I had to dig up my last bit of money to pay the new mechanic but it was worth it and it only cost $350.00. I ended up having my sister go speak to the man at in and out to see if there was any way he could give me back any money. I was too anxious to do it myself. This is when he lied to her saying stuff like i asked him to fix the motor mounts and air throttle, which I did not, he said they were the problem so I believed him plain and simple. He made up stories that I had tooken it all over Rome trying to get it fixed and they Couldn't find the problem...none of that was true! He even raised his voice with her and was defensive. I am out all my savings and still unemployed but he is not and I just wanted to get my feelings out.
