Pre-Purchase Inspection
I recently used Jeremi’s Auto Repair for a Level 2 Pre-Purchase Inspection on a 2008 Lexus LS460, and while there were a few bumps in the process, their customer service ultimately saved me from making a very expensive mistake.

The Good & Customer Service
-Incredibly Accommodating: I was running late getting the car from the dealership to the shop, and the team was fantastic about accommodating my schedule.

-Quick Pivot on a Miscommunication: There was a slight mix-up initially—they thought I was only in for a basic state inspection rather than the much more involved Level 2 PPI. Once clarified, they immediately made it right. Because I was driving a long distance and waiting at the shop, they put two technicians on the car simultaneously to ensure the job was finished before closing time.

-Honest Tech Feedback: The inspection revealed critical issues I never could have seen without getting the car up on a lift, including a list of trouble codes and a repair estimate. While the front desk person looked at the report and casually suggested the car was still a good buy due to its low mileage, the technician gave me the real, technical breakdown. He was highly concerned about significant oil leakage that absolutely should not be present on a low-mileage Lexus. I trusted the tech's assessment and confidently walked away from the vehicle.

Areas for Awareness / Improvement
If you book this service, just keep a few logistical things in mind:

-Time Expectations: They actually bill for fewer hours than the inspection realistically takes. Since I planned to wait there, I wish I had been more aware of the actual time required beforehand however its a great value!

-Photos & Reports: The final report with photos was fairly good, but because you don't see it until the very end, some of the images weren't clear enough. I wish I’d had the opportunity to ask for better photos or look at the undercarriage in person while it was on the lift. I understand if its a safety concern to do so still I would have liked an opportunity before they completely finished to ask questions.

-A/C inspection is Extra: On the drive over, I noticed the A/C took 20 minutes to start cooling. I asked them to check it, but learned that an A/C inspection isn't included in the PPI and requires a separate diagnostic fee. Which is fair as it would require additional time.

-Suggested Checklist Items: They didn't check the date codes on the tires. The car had been sitting, and while the tread looked fine, the tires were actually over 10 years old something I think is important if people aren't familiar with vehicles to note. Furthermore, a test drive is not included in the inspection. Personally, for a premium inspection, I think a test drive is essential. This car had significantly more vibration and noise than the older, higher-mileage vehicles I’ve owned, which is a major red flag for an LS460 that a quick drive would have flagged.

Final Verdict
Despite a few limitations in the inspection scope and a minor front-desk miscommunication, Jeremi and his staff provided great customer service. Paying for the inspection was worth every penny to avoid buying a money pit. I would absolutely use them again, but I’d be sure to ask for the technician's direct input and clarify the exact checklist upfront.

We're really glad to hear that you had a mostly positive experience with your Level 2 Pre-Purchase Inspection! Sometimes, the journey is just as important as the destination, and it sounds like you navigated a few bumps along the way with some expert guidance. We appreciate your feedback on time expectations and the clarity of reports. We totally get that staring at a waiting room wall can feel like watching paint dry, so knowing ahead of time how long things might take is definitely valuable information. And when it comes to photos and final reports, we aim to present you with insights that are as clear as day—after all, no one likes squinting at blurry images when making an investment decision. Your points about the A/C inspection and suggested checklist items are duly noted. We're always looking for ways to improve our services so that future customers have all the information they need to make well-informed choices. It's great to know that our team's effort ultimately saved you from a potentially expensive mistake. We’re
