I started with Modica's Washington Blvd. store in the mid 1990's, so I would say I have been using them for a LONG time. When they opened their store in Jasper, I started using that location. Not until the last year or so have I started be become leary. I depend on them to watch my tires, tell me if anything doesn't look right on their 15 or so point inspection and I definitely expect them to offer competitive prices and of course, be honest. Well, without going into a couple other things that have happened over the last year. I took my car in for a tire rotation recently and asked them AGAIN to check my brakes because they were still grabbing. I received a quote for a brake job ($1,250+), including their concern for the brake's condition and that my brakes could go out! I left wondering why it was all the sudden SO BAD, when I had asked them to check my brakes the last time I had my tires rotated and am in there regularly for my oil changes, tire rotations, etc. I decided to have my regular mechanic take a look at my brakes and he ended up doing the job for just over $500. He said that in his opinion, much of what they quoted I either didn't need, or was so much higher because they quoted each item individually. This has further lowered by confidence in Modica's and has really made me think twice about continuing to use them.
