Service department should be called Rip-Off Central
My F-150 had a passenger door latch that failed to lock consistently. I discovered there was a recall for F-150 latches and told them about the issue when I took my truck in for an oil change several months ago. They checked the latch and said it was fine because they didn't really take the time to check the problem. The latch continued to fail sporadically. So today, I took it in and was told the recall didn't apply to my latch ... I had extended warranty with Ford that was good for 100,000 miles, but in the time between them denying there was a problem and them telling me the recall didn't apply to me my truck went over 100,000 miles. They said Ford would not honor the warranty ... This run around BS is so predictable it's ridiculous.
On top of that, I also wanted to get the windshield washer jets unclogged and had been told on the phone that wouldn't be a problem. The same bearded service department clown told me that wasn't possible and that there was a 6 month back order on the replacement parts. YIKES !!!
