After changing the oil pressure switch on my truck, the mechanic that worked on it said my oil pressure dropped to zero during the test drive and based on that and the sound of my engine, i need an engine replacement. When I told the service manager that a diagnostic told me that it was the switch, he told me that they ran a diagnostic but didn’t bother to read the codes based on the mechanic’s expert opinion. I went straight to Autozone for another diagnostic when I picked up my truck and it states that I most likely have a bad wire harness to the ECM. That’s a far cry from a engine replacement. That’s shady at best.
