Air Filter Predators
I dropped my car off to be serviced for an oil change and tire rotation. I got a call an hour or so later to find out that the representative explained that my air and cabin filters were really dirty and "lets go ahead and get that replaced". I declined the assumptive offer and asked how much. $49.99 for the air and $79.99 for the cabin filter. I checked the filter myself and it looked fine. My car was only a year old. I even got a second opinion from another service maintenance from an outside source that also explained that it was in good condition and could go on for another 10k miles before being serviced. I feel like I was taken for a fool because I was not there in person and assumed my lack of knowledge in the work. I was not happy with this experience. I can only imagine how they do this to other people.
