"Happy with their honest service"
We took our 2007 Toyota Sienna to the dealer in Uniontown to have the oil changed, a shimmy in the front checked, address a pull to the right and check the front brakes. They indicated it needed new struts in the front because one of the springs was broken, and recommended new control arms because the bushings were "cracked." All together, it would have cost over $2,500, and they said it would be about a 15 hour repair job. We needed to get back to Frostburg to pick up the kids from school that afternoon, so we had the oil changed, front rotors resurfaced, tires balanced, and went on our way. I called Red Ridge on Tuesday to see if they could take a look at it on Wednesday to give us a second opinion. They said they could look at it, but were busy, so they may not be able to get to it until Thursday. However, they could at least diagnose it, order any parts they needed, and have it ready the next day. I dropped it off Wednesday morning around 7:30 AM, and Eric called me a couple hours later to let me know what they found. The front spring was broken so they recommended new front struts and also new rear shocks since they haven't been replaced. An alignment was also needed. I asked about the control arm bushings, and he said they looked fine. The repair was still half of what the dealer suggested! I expected to have to leave the van there overnight and we were already trying to figure out rides for our boys' activities, but Eric called me back around 2:30 PM to say it was all done! Wow! He said they had a couple of cancellations, and were able to get to it a little sooner. We're lucky to have this shop in our neighborhood. Thanks, Red Ridge!
