Always reliable
The folks at Sam's Service Center are honest, and experienced. Our 1997 Ford work truck had a problem in which it would not keep running at idle speeds. Over $1,200 in repairs at a Ford dealership did not fix the problem. It was blamed on the truck being so old that equipment is no longer available to read the problem codes. When I took the problem to Sam's, a mechanic approached the issue in an old-fashion way - reading voltages at individual components to find the problem was a bad EGR valve. Hurray for the real mechanics that can still think outside the black-box.

Sir, I'm sorry you were not satisfied with the time it took to repair your vehicle.  We called you and told you it would take close to five hours to complete the repair.  We started on it Monday morning and in the three subsequent phone conversations we had with you, we let you know that we would call you as soon as it was done.  At two o'clock you came in.  The technician had just finished, he hadn't even brought the key into the office yet from his final test drive.  Please let us know what we need to do differently.  We did the work as fast as we could and did not have the paperwork finalized when you arrived.
