Avoid like the plague
The worst Stealership in Athens. I would rate them less if I could. I took a trade in with me and the price given for my trade was agreed upon prior to purchase. I Allowed them to obtain my credit report which showed I was a qualified purchaser. We crunched the numbers and I signed a contract for a car with 187 miles on the clock but was told it was a new car. My monthly payments were fine at $468 per month. As soon as I pulled into my driveway, I received a call from the sales manager at the dealership stating that I had to come back up and resign a second contract. This contract had me paying nearly $550 per month. This is what’s called a Yo-Yo sale in the automotive sales industry. It’s illegal in the state of Georgia. After reviewing the original contract and raising questions, I asked for my trade in back. I was told I couldn’t have it back and was forced to sign the new contract just to get back home. Keep in mind all this was on a weekend. They couldn’t sell my trade until after Capital One released the paperwork. They had to pay for that to happen.
As time progressed, the car was taken back to the point of sale for the exact same repair “DTC P0025” on 3 occasions. It is a Lemon as per Georgia law. I contacted corporate and Hyundai finance over this car. I’d advise people to stay away from this stealership as that they do bad business in my opinion. To get out from under the liability of this car, I had no choice but to abandon it on the Stealerships lot. Buyer Beware!!!!!! The stealership is so bad that the sales manager and sales person that I dealt with left within 3 months of this purchase. I still have both copies of the contracts and have consulted a lawyer along with the District Attorney’s office in reference to this matter.
