"Most Horrible Auto Service Ever"
The shop held my elderly mother's 2007 Subaru for a total of 16 days and charged her $1,154.86 and NEVER fixed the problem, in fact the car runs worse now! Vehicle was running rough and occasionally stalling out, now it stalls out frequently!! Vehicle only has 64K miles, they claimed a "Tune Up" was needed and replaced plugs and wires, looking over service history the plugs and wires were replaced just 2 years ago at 47K miles! They also replaced belts, filters and valves all of which they said would fix he problem. When this didn't work they 'discovered' it was a problem with an EGR valve and charged another $407. When this didn't fix the problem, they sent it to a Subaru dealer who diagnosed the problem as an valve guide issue with the exhaust. Clearly Wappingers Auto Tech did not know what they were doing and wasted much time and money. I took all my vehicles to "The Brake Shop" which Wappingers Auto replaced and over the past 5 years I did not spend $1,100 total nor ever wait for more than a day for my car, let alone 16 days The employees here are very nice and pleasant, but I think they are in over their heads, I definitely will not return nor recommend this place.
