The people are very smiley and want to do anything to take your money. They also promised they would take care of the Ford recall work before we signed the papers and then said screw you, take it to Ford after all the paperwork was signed.
We then immediately found the problem driving off the lot. Very rough shifting and three weeks after buying the vehicle find out we need an entire transmission replacement which will cost 7k! The Ford Professional Technician system shows the vehicle threw a code at least once before it was sold to us and we were not provided any information as such when buying the vehicle. The issue literally started when on the way home from the dealership. We understand the "As Is" nature of the contract, this does not excuse not giving the customer a complete picture of the "As Is" state when purchasing. Further more it seems that while in the care of the dealership the vehicle was "thoroughly enjoyed" as evidenced by the 5.5mpg average discovered after being in the vehicle (normal avg is 21mpg). I have my doubts on if the transmission was in this state when they got it as a trade in.
It seems that we are not the only people that have had similar issues from Westgate and the trust is gone.
