I took my car to a Subaru dealership. I was told that my brake pads were half worn down and frozen to
o close to the rotors. So to they were damaging the them. This was due to our winter weather. This was causing a scraping noise eventhough they were only 2 years old.
It was suggested to save money they could grind down the rotors, which would ultimately shorten there life span but free the brakes and use the same pads.
I took my car to The Garage for a 2nd option. I knew that dealerships were more expensive but...
The Garage put on brand new pads and rotors for hundreds less.
It was also suggested that I come in yearly for a brake inspection just to make sure what kind of damage could be avoided to my brakes in the future.
They are extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Dan one of the partners has been in the automotive business for I believe 15 years eventhough he looks young. His sister does the books and is a sweetheart. Also I think is a partner.
