Best Sedan I've ever owned
We stumbled upon "Roscoe" (the RS7) by accident while shopping for another SUV for the wife. I'd never seen one for sale before. It's the ultimate Unicorn of a car - I haven't even seen another one on the road since we bought it in 2020. So, I jumped on it and bought the car instantly. It's been an outstanding addition to the family. For some tasks it's even more useful than the SUV (all SUVs are stupid anyway). On road trips, the miles just disappear under the hood as if the car is inhaling them. The B&O stereo is fantastic even without a subwoofer. And of course, it's "stupid fast!" Passing on two lane roads takes just seconds, and you're over 100mph before merging back, so you've got to pay attention. The exhaust note is very satisfying when you put a few extra toes into the right pedal. Seats are comfortable, and visibility is quite good. With all season tires it handles snow and ice nicely (the summer tires it came with were terrifyingly useless though! - lol). The only cars I'd consider replacing it with would be the Ferrari FF or Luso V12, but I'd be possibly sacrificing reliability and incurring MUCH higher annual maintenance costs and registration fees. The RS7 just may be the absolutely best sedan out there. Mercedes and BMW have nothing that interests me, and the Porche Panamera (the RS7's closest competitor) is more sports oriented and I think a little less reliable. Buy the earlier versions though - Audi replaced a superb infotainment interface (buttons and knobs) with an idiotic all-touchscreen set-up. I can't say whether new ones are worth the MSRP, but a few years old RS7 at half the price is serious "Bang-per-Buck".
