To speed or not
I must say, I've only owned my M6 for 10 months now, but I am very pleased with it. However, with an M6 comes a price, and that price is repairs. There is nothing on that vehicle that is cheap, or ordinary, but that comes with an extreme Specialty Vehicle and performance. There are some things that BMW could have done better in the interior, and they clearly could have made things with easier access, but I think it was designed to be complicated, so it would pretty much go back to the dealer whenever repairs were needed. I come from a background of extreme and performance, and this one clearly outperforms anything I've ever had, all the way down to a Viper.
If you want a head turner, buy the m6, if you want performance buy the m6, if you want looks, and style buy the m6. If you want an empty wallet, and to purchase an oil company, buy the m6.
