A solid Japanese engineered machine ?.

I purchased this rig w/149k on the clock. $1000. It was a disgusting kid hauler ? that couldn't pass the smog test. Most Montero owners don't realize how good these trucks are and completely overlook the importance of freakin MAINTENANCE!! I had to sink a bunch of money into it to get it current and reliable again. Its strong and comfortable for extended road travel although the gas mileage is not great. It's a rolling 4wd brick ?‍♂️. I gave it 4stars only because the aftermarket parts available for the Sport models (mine) is disappointing.

One of the best vehicles I have ever owned.

This vehicle is so easy to drive. The ride is smooth, and I get good gas comsumption. It does not ride like a truck and handles well. Important to me is that the seats are very comfortable, whether you are driving or a passenger.
