Car review

I have owned my 2000 Cabrio since January, 2007. Although not as tight as a GTi, the Cabrio handles and performs well. The car is fun to drive, and is as safe as a small convertible can be. I had a similar model prior to purchasing this one. I was driving the first one and was struck in the back at 50 miles per hour. I was able to get out and walk away. It has proved to be very reliable and comfortable, although there isn't much legroom in the back seat for teenagers. With the top up, it is very quiet. My only real criticism is the fact that VW allowed the installation of black leather seats in a convertible! I would have much preferred cloth seats, as in my previous car. I recently picked up the car from being serviced. The shop manager informed me that several other customers asked if my car was for sale. This tells me how popular the car is, even though it is 18 years old. There was more interest because it has a manual shift.
