Caroline said she called before hand to find out the flat rate for the brake replacement. She quoted the price of $150 but when Caroline came in the service advisor told her it would be $250. Caroline brought up that she had quoted a smaller price and the service advisor said that the price quoted was simply for the parts and not the labor. After Caroline said something about it, the price was dropped to $200. She is fine paying whatever price but she wants to know the flat rate with everything included or she wouldn't have used the phrasing.

Caroline, sorry about the price discrepancy. We misunderstood your initial price request and apologize for any confusion it may have caused. We have actually used this particular scenario as a training example for our service advisors. We think it would be best to address the customer’s initial concern, but make sure in addition to that they understand everything else that is involved in the repair as well. Thank you for your understanding!
