Good purchase experience, jury still out on service department
Super friendly service folks and the waiting area is clean and comfortable. However if I buy $500 in tires from a local tire shop, I get free lifetime tire rotation. I spent over $25K on a new car with Johnson Hyundai, and they charged $25 for a tire rotation. Something doesn't sit right with me there, so guess where I'll be getting my tires next time around? My very first oil change was $37. Tire stores do it for $25. Guess where I'll be getting future oil changes? If they want to get me in for routine maintenance (which in the future will likely result in other work - it always does, right?) they have to be competitive. Penny wise, dollar foolish.

I was given no estimate as to how long it would take, so I figured no more than an hour (I had the 1st appt of the day). 2+ hours later, I finally drove off. Granted, they had to diagnose a Blue Link issue, but information from my service advisor was very slow in being communicated and I was never given an estimate as to when the car would be done. That would have gone a long way. Frankly, it seemed the service advisor was just overly busy with other customers. Once it was finally done, I waited over 15 minutes for it to show up from the car wash. While the wash was appreciated (and needed) I was already late for work, so that didn't help. On top of that, I have to bring it back once the Blue Link part is in and guessing another couple of hours for that.

Lastly, I cannot believe the car doesn't have a maintenance reminder built in. Every car I've purchased over the last 15 years has had one. My Sonata Hybrid is supposed to email me through Blue Link supposedly, but guess what my first new-car defect is? I have to believe Johnson Hyundai can do a better job, at a better cost, on routine maintenance for customers buying new vehicles.

Just my 2 cents on top of a $60+ oil change/tire rotation. We'll see how the warranty visit goes.
