Reliable, comfortable, handles well in bad weather
I purchased my 2015 Forester as my retirement car with a plan to keep it at least 15 years (not unreasonable for Subarus). It is now 9 years old. While I have had to have air conditioning work done, which was expensive, everything else in the course of the 9 years is more or less maintenance, i.e. brake work, new tires, battery. I am pleased with the reliability of my car, and have been told by mechanics that it is a great car to own. I am shorter than average, and find that the Subaru design provides optimal visibility.
