My experience with this Good Neighbor has been beyond horrible.
I took my van in because I was hearing a noise when going over speed bumps.
They said I needed new struts. I agreed and the repair began.
After the new struts were installed they called to say there was still a noise and that it needed a new sway bar. I had my doubts that the sway bar was the issue but I agreed.
They then called to say my van was ready for pickup.
When I went to pick it up they informed me that "there was still a noise and they could not figure it out and I should take the van to a dealer" They still had no qualms with charging me $2700. At this point I realized this was the worst mechanic experience I had ever had.... but it gets worse.
What I should have done was take the van to a competent mechanic to begin with. These "good neighbor" mechanics are not competent, and certainly not trustworthy.
The noise my van was making was much louder and worse when I picked the van up than when I dropped it off. Clearly much louder metal on metal sound. They should not have released the van to me in that condition.
Upon taking the van to the dealer they determined that hardware (nut and bolts) were NOT EVEN HAND TIGHT, and some was even missing. But the most egregious was that they found the sway bar that I most likely did not need to begin with was INSTALLED BACKWARD and that was why the noise was so loud.
I have all the documentation from the dealer where they found the hardware hand tight and missing, and the sway bar installed backward. The dealer suggested I return to Good Neighbor and make them repair it right but I do not think they have the ability to do the job correctly. So I had the dealer fix it right. The dealer was much cheaper than good neighbor too.
In conclusion, I would not ever take anything here. I do not think they are even competent enough to work on a bicycle. Do yourself a favor and do not ever go here.
