Either incompetent or dishonest
I took my vehicle in for the 40000 mile service. I told them one of the key FOBs was not working and asked them to check it out. They told me I washed my FOB on my washing machine (which was not true) and I needed to buy a new FOB at the cost of several hundred dollars. I changed the battery on my FOB. It works fine now. It’s the little things that make a difference when you have your car serviced. This dealership failed.
