Bad situation got worse
I needed my state inspection done as well as to schedule a couple of repairs. I walked into the office and Mark asked me to go back outside and wait while he finished his conversation with what looked like an employee. The employee looked shocked, as I was, and said to take care of the customer first and they could talk later if needed. He looked relieved to go. I felt like I walked into a disciplinary or other private conversation. It was awkward, unprofessional and inappropriate to have in that public space if so. Mark then asked what I needed and told me to bring in my registration form.
I provided it and he started typing. I stood there for a long time like a fool thinking he was going to hand it back. It started to get painful. Again, I felt awkward and unsure what to do. When I started to reach out for the paper i thought he was handing back, he rudely told me with a scoff that he was getting me into the system and I could sit and wait. He was clearly annoyed with a tone that was curt as he walked outside to the car. I considered leaving right then. How was I to know the process if he didn’t tell me? Why did he let me stand over him at the desk like that? I took a seat.
Shortly after, he left for lunch and someone came to cover for him. I heard him relay that I was waiting for an inspection and give a couple other notes. No one acknowledged me, asked me anything or gave me an update.
After nearly 20 minutes listening the the employees chat it up with a customer about how he can change his brakes at home I stood up to see if anyone was at my car. This movement reminded the employee that I was there and he quickly checked me out.
I paid, got a paper and left. No discussion, no notes on the car or even an ask if I needed anything else. I yet again, felt awkward like I was a nuisance interrupting there conversation.
The entire experience was terrible. I left immediately and will not go back.
