Found a perfect, super rare, unicorn of a used car after a relentless and exhaustive 1yr 8mo search. Agreed on a price and paid a $1000 deposit for them to hold the car. They sold it to someone else 2-days before I was supposed to pick it up (I'm out of state). Only way I found out was because they didn't take it in for the 3rd party Pre-Purchase Inspection I had scheduled for the day before I was to pick it up, that the salesperson had agreed to take it to. I was told by my salesperson that the car was sold by a different salesperson on his day off. I wasn't informed of this devastating news until AFTER I asked if he'd taken the car in for its appointment yet.
