Why use the perks as incentive, if you can't honor them in a timely manner?
The service department is unable to handle the volume of customer needs but yet the dealership continues to use the free oil changes as incentive to purchase with them. I love my car, don't get me wrong. I love my salesman, don't get me wrong. I do not love the inability for my car to be serviced on time because of a two week waiting list. If there is ever a problem with my car, the last thing I better hear is that because my oil was not changed on time is the cause of the problem.
My finance's Mother passed away unexpectedly last month and we had to put a lot of miles on my car, traveling back and forth after work, on weekends, etc... to handle the arrangements and to attend the funeral services. I called the dealership many times, as we knew we would be passing through High Point to get to Rockingham, but they could never "fit us in". After a not-so-friendly conversation with me and the service man, I finally made an appointment on a Wednesday at 430pm. He was not happy about it being so late, but I told him I got off work at 4pm and it would take me 30 minutes to get there. I was not about to take my vacation time to get an oil change, when I had used most of it for the funeral. I finally...after almost 1,000 miles over my scheduled mileage, I got in! I felt I had almost won the lottery!!
When I was waiting for the oil to be changed and my tires rotated, I spoke to the Dealership's Manager and expressed my frustrations. I was assured that they realize there is a problem with service department being so slammed and not enough time in a day to do all they need to do. I have been assured that it is being handled promptly with an additional service department. I was pleased with the conversation, but am still skeptical that if anything happens to my engine that is related to oil changes being 1000 miles over, that they are going to try to blame me. Let's hope not...

The service dept is the best we have ever used. We have not dealt with the sales staff.... but the service is awesome. They are very thorough, polite, knowledgeable and coutreous !!!! On a scale of 1 to 10 ... I would give them a 10 !!!!
