I had my car towed to this shop. They quoted me $313 to fix the control arm of my tire and axel. That is all I wanted fixed.
A couple of hours later they texted me a random picture and said there is more than what they could initially see and asked me to please give them a call. I called Joel and he told me that I need A,B,C,D done at the cost of $1112. I said that is more than the car is worth. He then asked me if I wanted to have a car or not. I need a car so I had no choice.
I go in to pick up the car and am told that they did not do A,B,C, and D. Instead, they thought it would be better to do E and F and did it for a slightly higher cost of $1157. Their not doing A,B,C and D meant that they LIED in telling me that it needed to be done in order for me to have a car. NONE OF IT NEEDED TO BE DONE for me to have my car - all that needed to be done was the original $313 worth of work.
Let's talk about the bait and switch - they fixed items of their choosing. That was certainly not authorized. I asked them why they didn't call me before changing course. The reason they did not call me to see if I would be OK with the new items instead of the old items is because they knew that I would not approve it and did not want any of this done. If they called and told me that they decided that E and F maintenance was more important for safety, I would have know that they lied about needing to do A,B,C, and D in order for me to have a car.
I expressed my upset and frustration to them. They did not care. Please steer clear.
