BAIT AND SWITCH LIARS
I DIDN'T COME HERE FOR SALES OR SERVICE. HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PICK MANDATORY ANSWERS TO SIMPLY SUBMIT THIS REVIEW. THIS IS A RUN-DOWN LOOKING DEALERSHIP THAT USES SLEAZY BAIT-AND-SWITCH TACTICS TO LIE TO YOU TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR. THEY'RE CURRENTLY (AS OF 3/20/26) RUNNING A "SALES EVENT" WHERE THEY'RE MAILING ADS TO PEOPLE WITH PULL TAB "PRIZES" TO WIN THAT ARE CONNECTED TO A PIN, WHICH IS CONNECTED TO YOUR NAME/ADDR. WHEN YOU CALL THE NUMBER (WHICH IS THE EVENT, NOT DEALERSHIP) YOU'RE TOLD THAT YOUR PIN IS "PRIZE WINNING" AND THAT YOU CAN "COME CLAIM YOUR PRIZE" - THE LITERAL WORDS USED BY THE GUY ANSWERING THE CALLS. I CALLED AND ASKED IF EVERYONE'S A WINNER, HE SAID NO. I ASKED IF THERE WAS A CATCH, HE SAID NO. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE 40 MINUTES TO FIND OUT I'M BEING LIED TO. THAT EXACT SCENARIO PLAYED OUT ANYWAYS. THE GUY SAID MY PIN WAS A "PRIZE WINNER" AND THAT I COULD "LITERALLY SHOW UP, VERIFY THE PIN, TAKE THE PRIZE, AND LEAVE." WHAT'S NOT SAID ON THE MAILER IS THAT MY PIN IS, IN FACT, NOT A WINNER, BUT RATHER A RAFFLE FOR A CHANCE TO WIN. HOWEVER, THE PULL TABS SAID MY PIN WON $5K. SO, IT WAS A BAIT-AND SWITCH, WHICH IS THE LEGAL NAME FOR LYING/DECEIVING. AT NO POINT ON THE CALL DID THE GUY SAY IT WAS A RAFFLE FOR A CHANCE TO WIN. ALSO, NOWHERE ON THE AD DOES IT SAY IT'S A RAFFLE, BUT RATHER A "CONTEST" - HOWEVER, THAT'S MISLEADING BECAUSE THE AD ITSELF IS ADVERTISED AS A CONTEST, AND WHEN YOU CALL THE GUY, HE SAYS "YOUR PIN IS A PRIZE-WINNING PIN!" - I GET IT, I SHOULD'VE READ THE FINE PRINT, BUT I FIGURED CALLING AND SPEAKING TO SOMEONE WOULD BE AS GOOD. A MAN ANSWERED, AND I (APPARENTLY ERRONEOUSLY) EXPECTED THE MAN ON THE PHONE TO BE A MAN OF HIS WORD. WOW, DO I FEEL TOOK. I'M A COMBAT VET THAT JUST LOST HIS JOB DUE TO PTSD, AND FIGHTING THE VA FOR COMPENSATION. THIS FELT TIMELY, LIKE A GOD-SEND, BECAUSE I'M FACING FINANCIAL RUIN. THE REALITY IS, IT'S JUST A SLEAZY, NASTY, PREDATORY MARKETING CAMPAIGN TO GET PEOPLE IN THEIR DOORS. THE PLACE EVEN LOOKS SLEAZY WHEN YOU PULL IN. THE SALES ASSOC WE TALKED TO TRIED TO SELL US A CAR EVEN THOUGH I WAS VISIBLY UPSET ABOUT THE BLATANT LIE, AND TRIED TO GUARANTEE ME A $199/MO PAYMENT IN THE PARKING LOT, WHICH HE CAN'T DO AND KNOWS HE CAN'T. ANOTHER ATTEMPT AT LYING. HE EVEN TOLD ME, AFTER THANKING ME FOR MY SERVICE NUMEROUS TIMES, THAT HE DOESN'T EVEN BUY HYUNDAIS, BUT HONDAS, AND BOUGHT ONE RECENTLY. I SEE PEOPLE HAVE WRITTEN GOOD REVIEWS. MAYBE THEY WEREN'T SUCKERED INTO THEIR DOORS LIKE I WAS. THIS AD/EVENT IS 100% TRASH, AND 100% LIES. APPARENTLY THEY FEEL THE NEED TO RESORT TO DECEITFUL MEANS TO SIMPLY GET PEOPLE IN THE DOOR. THIS BUSINESS CAN'T MAKE IT ON THEIR OWN MERITS, SO THEY APPARENTLY GET AN ATTORNEY TO HELP THEM WRITE LANGUAGE TO MAKE THIS AD WITHIN LEGAL LIMITS. THAT TOO IS WHAT THE GUY SAID. NOT THE "WITHIN LEGAL LIMITS" PART - THAT'S MY TAKE - BUT THE PART ABOUT AN ATTORNEY IS TRUE. ABSOLUTE TRASH METHODS FROM A SLEAZY RUN-DOWN WASHED-OUT 90'S ERA LOOKING PARKING LOT JOKE OF A BUSINESS. THEY WASTED MY TIME, MY GAS (WHICH IS RISING AS WE SPEAK) AND SET ME OFF WITHOUT EVEN A CURSORY ATTEMPT TO FIX THINGS. ACTUALLY, THE SALES ASSOC ASKED ME, "YOU WANT ME TO GIVE YOU $5K?" TO WHICH I SAID, "YOU GOING TO WRITE ME A CHECK FOR $5K?" TO WHICH HE RESPONDED, "NO, BUT CAN PUT IT TOWARDS A CAR." WHICH PROMPTED ME TO WALK OUT. THE SALES ASSOC WALKED US OUTSIDE AND THANKED ME SEVERAL TIMES FOR MY SERVICE, WHICH WAS CLEARLY INSINCERE AND ONLY A MEANS TO TRY, QUITE UNSUCCESSFULLY, TO GET ANOTHER "IN" TO TRY SELLING ME A CAR ANYWAYS. THIS BUSINESS IS ONLY CONTRIBUTING TO THE SLEAZY USED CAR LOT IMAGE THAT'S SO PREVALENT, APPARENTLY EVEN TODAY. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. TERRIBLE BUSINESS.
