Unsure about need for work performed.
I am concerned that I had $1,600 dollars worth of work done for no reason and another $500 left to do because of a misdiagnosis of a problem.
My truck had an intermittent spin/no start issue.
Your shop diagnosed it as a faulty pcm.
Then, due to an egr delete and me not having the old tuner (I bought the truck used), I have been stuck with a check engine light.
Well, the pcm replacement did not solve this issue.
After bringing it back in, it was determined that the cam position sensor was bad (a $70 part) and was changed without labor expense.
When talking with your mechanic, he told me that he diagnosed the pcm because the truck would not turn over and the trailer brake control was flashing when he attempted to do so.
My truck was not and never did do that.
Also, I was told it was diagnosed as such because of codes that were present which directed it as faulty. Yet, the mechanic said it was because it showed a physical sign; not a "code".
Now, I still need a $500 programmer on top of having spent $1,600 that o do not believe was necessary.
I would like a return call from Coy to discuss this further.
