His truck started having issues..tranny was slipping. He would be driving at 50 mph+ and it would shift from 7th gear to 1st gear. I Googled his truck and saw this is was was an ongoing issue with Ford.
I took truck (which was in "Limp Mode") to Lithia. They required $300 to run a diagnostic test to determine issue. They then wanted $11k to replace tranny with another Gen 1 2017 transmission.
I called Economy Transmission and spoke with Brad. He was beyond kind, professional and helpful. I had truck towed via my AAA, and taken to Economy Transmission.
They were fully aware of the Ford transmission issues, and they said that Ford made a Gen2 2020 tranny with upgrades, and an overall better tranny.
We discussed options, and that's what we chose to put in my sons truck.
They had the truck for about 2 weeks. I picked the truck up yesterday, and it runs like a dream!
They charged $8700.00 (which is still allot of money), but it's warrantied for 3 years and or 100k miles.
I give them 5*!
