I am so sorry your part was not covered under warranty Hyundai requires us to send any defective parts back for review and in your case the bungs that screw in to the cover were still attached to the screw showing that the cover was broken off from the out side of the vehicle. There is a misconception that we do not get paid to do warranty but the reality is that the factory pays more than our customer rate. Unfortunately there is a strict guideline that we must follow and if the part does not fall in to these guidelines we cannot submit it to warranty. If you think this may have been a result of the recent bad weather you may want to give your car insurance a call and they may be able to reimburse you for the repair.
