Ben said a coolant flush was done and they looked at other things. The final price turned out to be about $260. He would not recommend this business because he is disturbed with them. When he asked for an estimate on an alternator, they told him it would cost around $520. When he asked around elsewhere, he was given prices starting at about $275 to $300. He ended up buying an alternator himself.

Ben's bill exceeded the cost of a cooling system flush because there was a fee to check out his overheating problem. This was discussed before work had started.

Buying an alternator as a DIY project is naturally going to be much less expensive than having a professional shop install the alternator. I can't control the prices but I can provide the best service with best warranty.

If Bens Ford Focus continues to overheat we will be happy to take another look, and since he has already paid for a checkout that is guaranteed, there would be no additional fee to diagnose the concern.
