Quality of service on the car is good, however, customer service and professionalism is sub par, as compared to other dealers' service departments.
From the first service experience at this location, I was disappointed in lack of courteous and professional customer service and lack of service perks that was offered to me when I purchased my car at O'Gara Coach. At first, COVID was to be blamed for this, however, at the same time, my other cars were being serviced with the same pre-COVID treatment at other dealers' service departments. Specifically, I was offered valet service when I purchased my car, which was not offered due to COVID. I had to ask for a loaner car and it was not made easy for one to get a loaner car. Once finally provided, it was a lower level car from Enterprize. At the same time as this, my other car service departments provided brand new loaner cars of the same make and with no changes to pre-COVID times. After a year and a half or so into COVID, Genesis started offering valet service again, however, not properly (this service should be offered automatically and not after the customer asking for it and having a hard time receiving that service!). Anyway, the quality of customer service (not the service on the car) is quite poor as compared to other dealership service departments. And I have had experience with most dealerships at the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall, as I have purchased around 20 different makes of cars from this location in the last couple of decades.

Great Customer Service Experience
Not only was my car buying experience great at Genesis of Westlake. It was great to know that I'm still treated with courtesy and professionalism like a VIP customer when I brought in my Genesis for its first service. I appreciate that a loaner was provided while my car was in service. My service advisor Brenda was great from when I arrived for my appointment to when my car was ready. Genesis of Westlake is 40 minutes away from our home, but I'm more willing to bring our Genesis cars for service at this stand-alone Genesis of Westlake dealership versus a combo Hyundai/Genesis closer to home. The customer service and ownership experience has been on par with what you would expect from a premiere luxury car dealership like Genesis of Westlake.

Great example of what Genesis deal should be
Brenda, the genesis customer rep is great. Knowledgeable and good communicator. Westlake is a great dealership and I would recommend them for service anytime. No shutdown of their service department that I could tell.

Now if Genesis corporate would just come up with a replacement for the 3G cellular that powers the nav and remote start the Genesis would have more repeat customers.

It was just a bad time to get my 1st service...covid shut down Genesis service dept. which I understand, but Hyundai service, knows nothing about
genesis... chalk it up to timing...hopefully my next service with GENESIS will be great!

BUYER BEWARE-1 star, not 3
Well I’m not sure why this auto populates for 3 stars but it did. I’m not in agreement with that at all. My Genesis GV70 us a total bust- A LEMON! Legally it’s a lemon and is being bought back by the dealer. BUYER BEWARE!!! These SUV’s were produced too quickly and have MAJOR flaws. Here’s what’s not working: collision assist warning, (it randomly goes off while driving and stops your car even though you’re NOT about to crash. This is so dangerous and can cause a crash itself), blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, keyless entry, fingerprint start, trackpad knob, all infotainment features, weather app inoperable, trunk hatch lift gate inoperable, hood is crooked and uneven on both sides, and on and on and on…….Genesis tech line has been horrendous at acknowledging this car is a danger and made improperly. I have had it in service twice for almost 6 weeks time and only bought it in the middle of August 2021. By Nov/Dec 2021 I was in negotiations for it being bought back which Genesis is finally doing. However they are still doing me dirty and trying to charge me for the glass protection, (which was never an option but already on the vehicle) and for the extended warranty too. Genesis expects me to pay almost $3,000 for an extended warranty on a lemon car that I’ll never use. It’s INSANE how badly I’ve been treated and am continually treated. I will not rest until I’m completely done with Genesis and get full restitution. So you are warned that this car is a disaster. And no, it’s not just my car like this. I’ve met and spoken to multiple people who had the same issues with their GV70’s.
