BAD USED CAR SALE TO A LOYAL PREVIOUS 3 TIMES HALL NEW CAR PURCHASER
I purchased a 2008 Buick Lucerne for Halls Hyundai in Western Branch, Chesapeake, VA in July 2019. I have purchased 3 previous new vehicles from Hall Chevrolet right next day to Hall Hyundai. I consider myself a loyal Hall customer. I was buying my daughter a used vehicle and found one at Hall Hyundai. My salesman was Steven. I informed him that I was looking for a reliable and safe vehicle for my daughter and her 3 kids. He showed me a 2008 Buick Lucerne. The vehicle appeared to be in good condition except for a few cosmetic issues. I requested that a diagnostic be provide before I make the purchase so I would know if there was any issues with this vehicle. I was provided with a report that had no engine related issues. With this report, I felt more comfortable about purchasing this used vehicle because of the pass reputation and service that I had received from Hall Chevrolet right next door. I assumed the Hall name meant value. I was highly disappointed because shortly after purchasing this vehicle, the check engine light came on and the vehicle failed to start. After about 24 hours the vehicle started and it was taken to Hall Chevrolet to identify what the problem was and the following was identified: 1. Check Engine Light- Found DTC’s P0455-001, P1350-00, P0350-00, P0300-00 and P0128-00; 2. Upper engine dog mount came apart; Right Tire Rod End worn; 3. Needs 4 wheel aligned; 4. Transmission Cooler Lower Line leaking; 53 Trans Fluid discolored and leaking; and 5. Pop noise in right Front Strut. I made a previous review on their website and no one made contact with me. I have paid over $2000 dollars in repairs since the purchase of this vehicle in July 2019. The vehicle is currently in Hall Chevrolet Service Department because the check engine light won’t go off and the vehicle keep cutting off. It is hard for me to recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from Hall Hyundai. I served 30 years in the United States Marine Corps and would not recommend any service member to purchase a used vehicle from here. I am willing to change this recommendation if Hall Hyundai do something to assist my daughter.
