Five Months After
First and Foremost, this is not directed at the Actual Salesman (George), but is geared towards Management, I purchased a vehicle in late November. Got a fairly decent deal 2nd New Hyundai, 2025 Tucson Hybrid, waited 3 days to receive the vehicle, supposedly it came from Connecticut. Picked up unit at night car was clean (washed), looked decent, but it was cold, it was night and I am half blind (LOL) 60yrs old blind. So, I took car home about 30 to 45 days later, I noticed the small things, you know the overall hype of a new car. The Car was NOT Prepped Properly, I found a paint defect over driver side rear door and severe Scuffing on hood area from the Factory Plastic Protection Film placed on vehicle, this was imbedded in the paint, Nothing a little Cutter & Glaze would not fix. Called Dealer and spoke to Alex Sales Manager, the person who finalized the deal. It was like talking to a deer in headlights, It was one excuse after another, OH IT'S BEEN 30 or 45 days, I finally got him a little on board, and we agreed he would look at it. However, I am 5 or 6 months later, now i have had the car, Rear Seat Belts were inaccesible, stuck under seat, had the grand kids, on a Sunday and had to strap 2 kids together, Car was not Prepped Properly (RUSHED), was Hot this last week, went to turn on Air Conditioning Guess What NO AIR CONDITIONING, CAR WAS NOT PROPERLY PREPPED (RUSHED).
Now I took a ride to the dealer TODAY, day off early arrived around 8:30am went to service, very rude young lady was telling me she had 75 appointments today and there was no way she could even look at it today, I explained to her SEAT BELTS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE, it was that same deer in headlight, frustrated I ran into George my sales guy, he was very responsive and we talked, he immediately walked out and him and I were able to get at least the seat belt clip out after removing the seat. He also verified car had no A/C, 2400 miles on unit. we talked about the paint blemish and scuffing, that was beyond his control. My end point is that although my credit got me good deal, the service after the fact is HORRIBLE at Hudson Hyundai, as community activist and former political candidate, entrepreneur and businessman, service is what keeps people coming back, not just initial customer service but also post, that's extremely important. They could have at least met me halfway or compromised. That's why I decided to Post Here, before I move forward with the second part.
