Worth the Wait??
It took nearly an hour and a half for an oil service on my Audi A6 to be completed, even though technicians took my car within minutes of my arrival, which was scheduled long in advance. This is the first time this has ever happened; usually this service takes no more than an hour. Katherine told me that the reason was that they were currently short-staffed; I can understand how that might be the case, and if it is, steps need to be taken (increase wage rate?) to attract a requisite number of candidates in order to return to full staffing levels.

Hi Glen- We apologize if your oil change took slightly longer then usual to complete. As you said, "this is the first time this has ever happened". Sometimes, circumstances beyond our control play into the length of time a service takes to perform. As for being short staffed, an employee staying home because they are sick in addition to an employee being on vacation has absolutely nothing to do with the wages we pay. I can assure you Johnson's pays top wages to all our employees, including health, 401k, etc. 
Unfortunately, there is a nationwide shortage of auto technicians in the US. Some are predicting a shortage of 642,000 techs by the year 2024 if trends continue (autoserviceworld.com). We are very much aware of how valuable our employees are to us and to our customers, which is why 90% of our staff have been long time employees.
