On 7/6, a used Chevrolet pickup at this dealership was listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace by salesman Gary Bower. My husband immediately messaged him, and inquired about coming to see/purchase the pickup. We were hesitant to make the 5 hour round trip, but Gary assured us that he could hold the pickup for us until we arrived. We were ecstatic, dropped everything we were doing, and immediately hit the road - after letting Gary know we were on our way.
Shortly after we left, Gary texted to tell us someone else was on the way to get the pickup. We pulled over and considered turning around - but then again, Gary assured us we should still come and we would be fine based on our ETA. We continued the trip.
The original ETA we gave Gary was 3pm, but we were running a half hour early. When we were 20 minutes away from the dealership, Gary texted us that the pickup had SOLD.
When we asked Gary why he didn't hold pickup like he had originally promised, he didnt answer the question and asked that we still come in so he could show us other vehicles that didn't match what we needed.
Gary wasted 5 hours of our time with false assurances to get a sale, which is terrible way to do business.
