Very poor service, over charged and attitude
Lacking integrity and honesty, I will second that. I went in for a sticker and had muffler leak. Originally I was quoted it would be around $300 for the sticker and exhaust repair. I left the car there to be fixed that day. Dave called and said the exhaust leak was a flex pipe but since it was connected to a catalytic converter, he would have to replace both for a price of $1,000 also he said the rear tires did not have enough tread to pass inspection so add another $200. I was outraged and when I challenged this, he said with attitude " see if you can get a better price" This I did... for this opinion he charged me $40. I know a bit about auto repair . So I started calling around. Turns out that if the flex pipe is leaking and the engine light is not on, you can fix the the flex pipe for around 200. The tires I checked myself. I just purchased less that two years ago at Walmart for half the price. He measured the tread at one 32nd of an inch. I was seeing more than that. The tires still had decent tread. So I will pay two hundred to another mechanic to fix the flex pipe or patch it myself for about $20, it is a very minor leak and makes minimal noise. I will wait another year for the rear tires. I believe there is enough tread to pass. If not I can get the very same tires he was going to sell me at half the price at Walmart...Bad experience. Also he did not wear a mask (required by Law in Vermont) I asked him to put on a mask and he said the go behind a small piece of plexiglass. Bad, Bad experience ...
