Oil Change
I went in for an oil change today, as I have lifetime oil changes. I called a week ago to schedule the appointment and mentioned I have lifetime oil changes, and the person made the appointment. So I arrive today for the appointment and it went like normal. Cars done, and the advisor says it'll be 100 and change. I said excuse me, and then said I have lifetime oil changes. Advisor goes, I wish you said that earlier, and my response was, I've been going there for almost 4 years and never had to say anything about it, it just popped up on their system. The advisor then goes we have to see your contract. I go I dont have one with me, and it was in the system. He goes well whos paying for it, to which I replied Im not, as I have lifetime changes. I go I called last week, no one said bring a contract, when did this change? He looks at another advisor and goes a few months ago. I replied, why wasn't I told when I called to make the appointment? No reply. We go back and forth, and ill admit I lost my cool a little, and was a little snippy. And they agree to let me go, and explained how to get a copy for next time. Im ok with that and then I get my car and leave. So I look at my contract at my next errand, and it says right in the margin, "Lifetime Oil Change." So I call back and explained that to the advisor that answered. His name was John. He says its just a code they use for paperwork. So I explain I called around, and will be able to get a copy next week. Then I said if my paperwork says lifetime, my 4 year history says lifetime, why am I not coded as lifetime. He then proceeds to talk down to me, and give me lecture about doctors not talking to each other and some other bs. At this point im over it, so I go when I get it, ill get them a copy for their records so they can put a copy on my account, and he says they don't do that because people abuse the contracts, and use more than they should! Im thinking is this guy for real? You cant store a copy of my contract? Wow man. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new place to get my oil changed that will honor it, and if I cant, I will only go there for the oil changes. But as far as any other work. Wont ask them for anything. When im ready to shop for a new vehicle, they won't be getting a visit from me. I will also not recommend them to anyone anymore. If that's how they let their advisors speak to customers, and the like no thanks.

To sum it up, I walked in thinking it be like my normal visits, got confused, and left more confused. Then try calling to clarify, and get spoken down to. Im in customer service, I would never talk to a customer like that if they were confused.
